Our research focuses on
the exploration of processes within nanoconfinements
between mineral surfaces. We
mainly follow two lines of research:
- Developing environmental friendly and low energy
demanding approaches to grow organic
semiconductor monolayer on nanoconfined surfaces
(relevant for materials science).
- Exploring nanoscale phenomena relevant for the
understanding of the chemical evolution towards
the origin of life.
For our investigations we use scanning probe
microscopes as well as other techniques in
collaboration with partners.
