Two-dimensional monolayers of bio-organic molecules as well as their coordination complexes with metals can be grown via Organic Solid/solid Wetting Deposition (OSWD).

We investigate such bio-organic assemblies in order to explore their potential semiconducting properties. The research is relevant for applications within the context of NanoBioTechnology.

For the investigation we mainly use Tunneling Spectroscopy and DFT Calculations.
